Every place has a story, and the Reno House is still writing ours.
Over the years, families, volunteers, donors, staff, hospital partners, local businesses, and neighbors have all become part of it. Their experiences and contributions have shaped the Reno House into the place families know today.
This October, we’re celebrating a new chapter for the House, recognizing the community support that makes our work possible, and looking toward what comes next as we begin Comfort & Joy, our year-end giving campaign.
So much is happening at Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada right now, and I am excited to share this next chapter with you.
On October 15, we will officially celebrate our rebrand and introduce Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada.
A new look. The same heart.
While our look has changed, our purpose has not: caring for families and keeping them close when their children need medical care.
Since I started in April, I’ve seen just how much our community cares about the families who walk through our doors. From volunteers preparing meals, to donors supporting our programs, to people simply asking how they can help, every part of that support helps make our House feel like home.
As part of our rebrand celebration, we are opening our doors for tours October 13–15. I hope you’ll stop by, see the House, experience our new look, and learn more about the spaces and programs that support families every day. On October 15, we’ll mark this new chapter with our official ribbon-cutting.
As we celebrate our new look, we are also beginning our Comfort & Joy campaign for the holiday season.
For our families, comfort can be a warm meal waiting after a long day at the hospital, a clean room where they can rest, or knowing they have a place to stay close to their child. Joy can be found in the little moments: siblings together, a child laughing in the playroom, or a family getting a little break from the stress they carry.
Give comfort. Share joy. Keep families close.
That is what this season is about, and it is what this community helps us do every day.
I hope you will join us as we celebrate the rebrand, come see the changes at the House, and continue to be part of everything that makes Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada so special.
We have so much to look forward to, and I am excited about where we are going together.
Keeping families close,

Holly Aycock | Executive Director

This year’s Red Shoe Gala: Back to the Prom brought friends and guests together raising funds to support the families served by Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada. What an incredible night as our community answered the call through the silent and live auctions, raffle, and Paddle Raise!
Thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, bid, volunteered, or helped make the evening possible. We are so grateful for your generosity.
Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation awarded Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada a $5,000 Pantry Partner Grant to support fresh, nutritious food and pantry essentials. That support helps families grab breakfast before heading to the hospital, pack a snack for a long day, or find something to eat when they return to the House.
A big thank you to the Nevada Mining Association for their continued support of Ronald McDonald House Northern Nevada.
The Nevada Mining Association recently presented us with a $7,500 donation raised through their annual Charity Golf Tournament. Since 2022, they have generously donated the tournament proceeds to support the families we serve.
Thank you to the Nevada Mining Association and everyone who helped make this year’s tournament a success. We are grateful for your continued support. Partnerships like this help us provide essential services and keep families close when they need it most.
Comfort & Joy is our year-end giving campaign, centered on bringing families comfort, connection, and moments that still feel like family during an incredibly uncertain time.
A gift can support stays at the Reno House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Renown Children’s Hospital, Travel for Treatment assistance, and other resources families rely on while a child receives medical care.
Over the coming months, we’ll share more about the families behind the campaign and the different ways you can take part.
